The Good Shepherd

Dear Family of God,

Who is our good shepherd? How do we become like Him?

Whether we like it or not, we are called to be a shepherd for those persons under our care and even for our neighbors. We are all under the care of God, our merciful Father who loves us sinners so immensely that He gave us His Only Son as our Redeemer and Shepherd.

The Word of God

Dear Family of God,

Why did Pope Francis Proclaim the Third Sunday of Ordinary Time as the Word of God Sunday? “He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures” (Luke 24:45).

Pope Francis has written an Apostolic Letter on September 30, 2019, with this title, so he can encouraged us to read, study, reflect and practice what we learn from the Bible which is the Word of God.

Divine Mercy Sunday

Why do we celebrate The Feast for the Divine Mercy and what are the promises of Jesus when we heed his call?

We celebrate this Feast because Jesus told Saint Faustina 14x during her vision in the 1930’s to make a Feast on the Sunday after Easter as Divine Mercy Sunday, He said, “My daughter, tell the whole world about my inconceivable mercy.

Easter Sunday - He Is Risen

Dear Family of God,

What does it mean to us that Christ is risen? The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches us that “Christ’s Resurrection is the fulfillment of the promises both of the Old Testament and of Jesus himself during his earthly life. (CCC 652). “The truth of Jesus’ divinity is confirmed by his resurrection.” (CCC653).
