Ministry of Compassion & Grief Support

Our Ministry of Compassion offers two Grief Support programs:

THE JOURNEY BEGINS: This is an eight week program for those who are in the initial stages of grief, but speaks to those who are finding that the healing is not advancing months and months later. It is a faith based program of prayer, reflection, and hope. This program is repeated in intervals throughout the year.

THE JOURNEY CONTINUES: This program is a natural transition from the Journey Begins. It is not a counseling time, but a sharing, caring and prayer time as we advance in wholeness.

Both of these programs provide opportunities for sharing, listening, support and comfort, healing and friendship for the journey. Confidentiality is paramount.

The Ministry of Compassion also coordinates two annual masses. The Mass of Remembrance is held in November to remember loved ones and friends who have entered into eternal rest during the previous 12 months. The Healing Mass is held in May and including the Anointing of the Sick with holy oils.
