-The Rite of Christian Initiation of Children (RCIC) (for children 7 years old and older)
RCIA is a process for those unbaptized or baptized in another Christian faith seeking to become Catholic and complete the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist). The process supports those interested in learning about the Catholic faith through study and discussion of Catholic doctrine and the Bible. These meetings are part of an ongoing conversion experience that seeks to lead to a deeper understanding and love of the Catholic faith. Please feel free to inquire about the program at any time during the year. Our formal process begins in September and, for those who are ready, concludes with reception of the Sacraments at the Easter Vigil.
Children 7 and above needing baptism or who were baptized in another Christian faith and the family is in the process of becoming Catholic, will be enrolled in our religious education and sacramental preparation program in their respective grade level. If ready, they will receive their sacraments at the Easter Vigil.
Those who are a practicing Catholic who have already completed the Sacraments of Initiation may inquire about the responsibilities of being a volunteer sponsor for a candidate.
