Roslyn Nuzzi, Teacher- Pre K

I’m very excited about starting here at Our Lady of Joy as the Pre-K teacher. I feel very blessed to be here and can’t wait to meet all the children and their families. It’s going to be a great year. Since I am new to this faith based community, I just wanted to share some of my background with you. I have taught a variety of ages during my 13 years of teaching; having taught Pre-K, First Grade, and Special Education from Kindergarten through Eighth Grade. I’m certified in the areas of Special Education, Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, Structure English Immersion, and Gifted Education. My teaching experiences range from public to charter, so I have taught in several different teaching environments. My family and I are parishioners at St. Rose in Anthem. I have taught first grade catechism, and in September I will be teaching second grade catechism at St. Rose. I have been married to my wonderful husband for 10 years and have two beautiful children. My son Gabriel is a third grader at Annunciation and my daughter Reese is a Kindergartener here at Our Lady of Joy. I feel strongly about our faith and want to embrace our faith in my classroom. I’m looking forward to a wonderful year here at Our Lady of Joy.
My philosophy of teaching is that every child has the right to be happy, safe, and successful. Every child can succeed given the right guidance and tools. Children learn better when they are in an environment that provides hands on learning skills. You learn more about something when you’re actually living and doing what you are being taught. Our classroom will be enriched with our wonderful faith along with a warm, learning, and inviting environment.
