MUSIC MINISTRY

PARISH CHOIR

The choir consists of persons whose musical abilities range from the simple carrying of a tune to those with accomplished music reading and singing skills. Choir members continually build their musical and vocal skills, learning from each other in a relaxed, supportive atmosphere. There is no age limit or auditions for choir membership, just interested singers.

• Choir sings at the 9AM Sunday Mass
• Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings, 7:15 to 8:45 pm in the Church.
• All voices needed: soprano, alto tenor, bass
• Sing for a season or the entire choir year (September through June)

CANTORS

Cantors are singers who lead the congregation in the music sung at Mass. A Cantor must have an ability to sing solo and confidently invite others to sing together as a congregation. This important form of service is essential to Liturgical music. Cantors may be members of the Choir or choose to serve only as a solo singer. Rehearsal is with the Choir on Wednesday evenings or by special arrangement with the Music Director.
