Ministry of Care

Home Eucharist Ministry
Parishioners of Our Lady of Joy who cannot otherwise make it to mass are encouraged to do a couple of things. First, please contact the parish to make a priest and staff reasonably aware of your situation. You are in our prayers each day as a parishioner, but it is good to pray for you by name. Second, one who is sick or otherwise unable to make it to Mass can watch the 9am Sunday mass on Cable, Cox 13 live from the Cathedral of Ss. Simon and Jude. Third, your contact at the parish allows us the opportunity to arrange for a parishioner to bring the Eucharist to those who is sick or homebound. This can be a long term or short-term assignment based upon the needs of the recipient. Once a need is communicated to the parish office, a minister is assigned to the parish member. Training to visit those who are homebound is provided by a staff member or a priest of the parish.
