All women of the parish are invited to join Our Lady’s Guild. Membership applications are available in the Parish Office and on our website, www.OurLadysGuild.com .
Our Lady’s Guild members are dedicated to Christian ideals with an emphasis
on spirituality, service, self growth, socializing, and stewardship.
Guild meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month, September through
May, at 9:00 AM. Members are encouraged to attend morning Mass and gather in the parish hall for coffee and social time afterwards. Following the business meeting is a guest speaker and casual luncheon. Trips to interesting sites and events are fun for
all.
Many women have been separated from family, friends, and their social network. Even those who have lived in Arizona for many years enjoy making new friends. The Guild offers an opportunity to develop friendships through special interest groups such as bridge club, quilters, book club, and finer diners.
Opportunities for spiritual development are offered at our general meetings and in special activities such as the Ash Wednesday Lenten retreat. Members of the prayer chain special interest group receive a weekly email list of prayer intentions. Some members pray the rosary, read Scriptures, or simply talk to the Lord and ask for His blessing. The official prayer of Our Lady’s Guild is the Memorare of St. Bernard.
Our faith is put into action when we serve others. As a hospitality ministry, the Guild supports parish events including Christmas projects benefitting St. Charles mission school and the 1st Way Pregnancy Center. Fundraiser events are conducted each year and have included a holiday bazaar, fashion show, and luncheon. Over the years, we have donated to many charities including the Foothills Caring Corps, Maggie’s Place for expectant mothers, the Poor Clares of Perpetual Adoration, and St. Vincent de Paul ministries. The Guild promotes local outreach projects and charities that benefit women and children.
